Disney Plus Subscribers May Have to Wait Until 2022 for "Rangers of the New Republic"

Upcoming Series Joins Growing List of "Star Wars" Spinoffs

Official Release Date Yet to Be Announced

Based on recent announcements from Lucasfilm, it is likely that Disney+ subscribers will have to wait until 2022 at the earliest to see the highly anticipated series "Rangers of the New Republic." An official release date for the show has not yet been set, but Disney has confirmed that it will be part of a slate of new "Star Wars" series coming to the streaming service.

"Rangers of the New Republic" was first announced in December 2020, along with two other spinoff series from the popular "The Mandalorian." The show would have followed the adventures of a group of law enforcement officers tasked with maintaining order in the galaxy after the fall of the Empire.

However, recent reports suggest that the production of "Rangers of the New Republic" has been delayed due to creative differences. It is now believed that the show will not be released until 2022 at the earliest, and it is possible that it could be pushed back even further.

In the meantime, Disney+ subscribers can look forward to a number of other "Star Wars" series coming to the platform in the near future. These include "The Book of Boba Fett," which is set to premiere in December 2021, and "Ahsoka," which is expected to arrive in 2023.
